3-2-1 action, the behind the scenes as a Maid of Honor Part 1

My childhood friend recently got married and the moment she was proposed to she asked if I would be her maid of honor. I felt so elated to be by her side and given that title as she embarked on this new chapter in her life. I didn’t want to let her down, I wanted to make sure that everything I was in charge of I did 5 star. From assisting with the BRIDAL SHOWER ( all I did was host the games and did some of the favors, her stepmother went all out, we are talking five star here). For the bacholorette party my good friend David gave us the ultimate hook up with his connections with a limo and party venues for that evening.

We did spend the day basking at a beautiful day spa soaking up the sun covered in mud as we sipped champagne.

Celebrating the bride was the easy part it was the actual looking good for the wedding I was terrified of. I wanted to look my best for my friend. After all I was representing her, and so were my guests. My parents and baby brother also came to the wedding as they have known the bride for a very long time as well.
One week out and it was time to call in for reinforcements. Lets start with my hair, my good friend Christopher from Blow Salon and Spa took on the challenge to fix my hair with a trim and color.

Next I needed a nice sun-kissed glow after all the dresses were strapless so my friend Kristen  owner, of KNOCKOUT TAN a mobile tanning service gave me just that. I have used her before and I will continue to use her again and again. You can read about my first experience here.

I decided to go all out so I went ahead and got lashes too. So my friend Lydia from Luscious Lashes hooked me with a killer set for my friends wedding. Her contact information; 949-878-8898

We had to get our nails and the Bride to be had the ultimate hook up, she knew the owner Blonda and she closed down her shop for the bridal party.  One of my favorite things I saw on her walls when I walked in was the saying:

I am really picky when it comes to getting my nails done. This is the best my nails have ever looked, my mother who is the worst critic in the world of acrylic nails said she loved them and that says a lot as well. Blonda even picked out the color for our toes that would match our shoes and make a cute photo opportunity for the big day! I found my new nail salon, The Nail club, you should check them out too!
