Field of greens – Winder Farms review

I had the opportunity to try out Winder Farms, which is awesome. Its farm fresh groceries delivered to your door.
Here is what we got for our delivery;
Stonyfield Yogurt smooties all natural hormone free, fruit both cut up and whole, veggies, fresh baked bread, fresh baked cookies, coconut milk, chocolate milk, rolls, regular and pink lemonade (both organic and all natural), grape juice, apple juice, green tea, bacon, grass fed meats, did I mention we got bacon? Oh and we got chopped kale salad and a ready to heat meal. I believe it was the chicken dish and it was so good I can’t even tell you. I feel like I am forgetting something as I couldn’t unload of all it without having the kids being hungry and wanting to sample EVERYTHING!

I was so impressed by the quality of the organic produce. My boys were so excited to see purple carrots and try different things! I used the greens on top of the carrots and I juiced it with the kale and lemon. I added someone things as well. Just a note with juicing and I am sure you already know, if you are juicing everything should be organic or you are drinking pure pesticides and well that defeats the purpose.
You sure do get a lot of healthy things at Winder farms
For breakfast my boy had the bacon, fresh fruit, with the fresh baked Winder Farms bread with organic butter. I also took some of the organic oranges from the box we got and juiced them. It was a five star breakfast to say the least!
In my house my boys have to eat 6 or 7 times a day. Well those are the times I help them get meals and snacks, anything after 7 they have to fend for themselves, lol! So when my toddler was hungry for snack it was a piece of cake, um I mean a piece of fruit. I got out the fruit from Winder Farms and my boys enjoyed.
My oldest son put dibs on the pasta so those were off limits for us. He said they were very delicious. I apologize for not getting an after shot as he made it as quickly and before I had a chance to  take a photo he was licking the bowl. Ok maybe not licking the bowl but there was nothing left.
I love that they included recipes for you to try with their fresh organic produce.
I had the recipes for the roasted carrots and the chard and chickpeas. While I didn’t have chickpeas I modified the recipe just a tad and I thought it came out ok.
Like I said I didn’t have the chickpeas which their recipe called for. As a parent if you don’t have something improvise, and well I had Great Northern Beans in my cupboard so it worked out. I also added the organic shishito peppers to the recipe… I felt like Americas Top Chef in this moment. I was having fun trying out different things with my organic produce.  The only thing missing in this picture is the feta cheese.
This was my lunch and it was fabulous! It was so delicious and I made it myself, with the help of Winder Farms! The feta was heavenly as it melted both on the beans and in my mouth one bite at a time. The fork full of swiss chard sprayed with lemon mixed with feta and the beans gave it a unique and buttery taste. This is my new favorite dish.
As mommy law states, as you sit down and act relaxed …they will come. The littles will arrive to drink or eat what you have even after they ate a meal like I don’t know 20 minutes ago? Welcome to my world! CINDERELLA ERM…Mommyella, MOMMYELLA where are you we are hungry AGAIN!!!!????
Is it lunchtime already? Wow the day goes by so fast. I have to say making meals was a breeze with Winder Farms. I felt like such a good “MommyELLA“giving my kids organic food. The best part with my hectic schedule it was delivered to my door. One less thing for this “ELLA” to do!!!

Lunch was hormone free lunch meat with Winder Farms organic fresh baked bread and organic lettuce. Accompanied by organic fruits fresh from the farm with some coconut milk on the side. A little olive here as “OLIVE” my boys! 🙂

My middle son wanted a PB&J sandwich with fresh baked bread, chocolate milk and fresh fruit. OMSG ( Oh my sweet goodness) if I don’t win or at least get into the semi finals for mother of year after this I don’t know what will!

Lunch was a crowd pleaser! I have never seen my boys so happy and excited to eat. Do you think it had anything to do with the fresh baked bread from Winder Farms?

Bite after bite I had to tell him to slow down!!!

Looks like Mikey likes it too! LOL

For my afternoon snack I had the Kale salad mix, it was delicious!!! So easy, healthy and simple!

What is sweeter than freshly baked cookies, sharing with your loved ones!
Warning once they are open they will all be devoured.

My toddler loved dipping his in the coconut milk!!!

These cookies were huge and filled with chocolate goodness. They were so moist and hit the spot for my sweet tooth.

I took this time to enjoy the moment and relish in the sweetness. These cookies were so divine they deserved to be eaten as such. Cookies and milk and I dusted (washed off) my tea set and enjoyed these cookies in a sophisticated way. Not like uncivilized littles who just dunked the cookies and slurped their coconut milk. I took my time. Just a word of caution, don’t enjoy and relish in the bite after bite or you will find they disappear from others with sticky fingers!

I was very pleased with Winder Farms, if you want to try them out you will get $30 your first order. Its so worth it, and I promise you it won’t be the last time you order from them either. With all you have going on why not make your life simple? Best part its farm fresh!
