Laying the foundation

As most of you already know I am starting a new journey. I am cleaning house from the inside out, what does that look like? Well this means different things to many people. Here is what it looks like for me:

 • Being more grounded with faith (my walk as a Christian)

Doing daily bible readings
Serving at my church
Staying active with my women’s bible study group
Connecting with my accountability partners
Attend church services
Seems simple yet I was struggling with it, I had to make changes and I had to reevaluate what my prior walk was. I realized I wasn’t what I thought or claimed to be. So that was the first order of business and once I was able to be honest with myself I could lay the foundation and the rest followed.

 • Not taking things for granted, enjoying the moments in life; no matter how small or unimportant they may seem. I stopped being in the fast lane and took time to merge over in the slow lane and actually take the scenery in per say.

Like how I really love the smell outside after a fresh rain
Running my fingers through a chain linked fence and the way it feels on my fingertips
The sound of kids laughing
The smile they give when I pick them up from school and the way they jump into the car and ask whats for snack when they get home
The way my middle son smells like dirt and sweat after playing outside with his friends
Family game night
Dinner time around the table with my boys (the dishes in the sink can wait)
Rolling down the windows in the car with my boys and singing at the top of our lungs when we hear a song we love.
We only get one shot at life, its time to enjoy all the beauty and the moments you are blessed to have, as tomorrow is not promised to anyone.

 • The next was taking back my health. Although I am very proactive I realize ultimately its God who is in control. I suffer from nerve damage and horrific migraines. I will spare you the 5-year continuous battle; the short version I stopped all medication with consulting and approval by my doctor, I am doing it naturally. Since I am under the care of an physician I had to get the ok before I did anything on my own.

I am taking supplements
Juicing once a day
Working towards losing 40lbs and keeping off as this is not a short term diet rather a long term journey

This is where Sorey fitness comes in, they turned up the heat to help get me started. I was given the opportunity to review the Turbo Fire complete workout set. This is complete with videos, nutrition guide, class schedule to keep you motivated, resistance bands, sculpting band and as an added bonus I was given generous samples of Shakeolgoy. Shakeology is a meal replacement that is actually really good to drink and it doesn’t have that chalky aftertaste.  I am so excited to have you watch my transformation from the inside out. I had to lay my foundation before I could get started. Thank you for being my cheerleaders and I can’t wait to be a butterfly after being in this cocoon for so long.
