My funny little Valentines

Our family is taking a raincheck this year since they are sick. I did buy them chocolates, cards to give them and a special little trinket. Since they didn’t have school tomorrow the day was going to look like this;

In the morning after they got their surprises they would have a pancake breakfast shaped with hearts and strawberries. We were then going to serve at church for a couple of hours. After that I was going to take them to the beach and have a picnic lunch with heart shaped sandwiches, sparkling water, those heart shaped crackers with cheeses in assorted shapes. I saved some extra money to take them to their favorite Japanese restaurant where they cook in front of you, that was their surprise for dinner. The finale, watching the Princess Bride at home with popcorn mixed with M&M’s. They are my funny valentines and I wanted to make it special.
Since nothing went as planned, we are confined to the house drinking smoothies, eating chicken soup in sweatpants with buckets near by. I guess its not all in shambles as I am still going to watch my movie, The princess bride. I will also have plumbers in my house tomorrow morning opening many walls and parts of my ceiling since there was a leak in my air-conditioning. This was since December they are now able to fix it. The highlight, after two months we are on our way to finally getting heat after the inspector comes and gives the ok. Hopefully in a week. Not holding my breath as its been two months already, we have learned to adapt with layering our clothes in the house since its been so cold.

With that said in honor of Valentines day I wanted to share somethings that I would love to do with my loved ones, a bucket list of sorts.
1) I would love to visit Santa Margherita in Italy and go to a winery and crush the grapes. My family owned a winery there many years ago. My great grandmother gave our land away to the workers, I am not sure of the whole story. God bless her little soul, we are still baffled by this. My mother was able to visit with my grandmother when she was 17 and they allowed her to crush the grapes on what use to be our vineyard. My mother says this was one of the many highlights in her life.
2) I would love to take a family vacation with my boys. Somewhere we could all enjoy the activities and just let lose and have fun. Someone else to do the cooking, make our beds and just a place for mom to relax and have fun too!
3) I would love to dance in the rain by the Eiffel tower in Paris with my boys. I am a romantic at heart, I know its more hype however its something that I would enjoy and its mostly so I can say I did it with my boys.
4) I have a huge desire in my heart to take my older boys on a mission trip to another country. I have always wanted to do this when I saw the tenderness in their hearts and how much they love to help.
5) I would love a day of pampering; a whole day to myself to love on myself. A day where I can get a message and lounge around and just soak up the silent and the still of everything. I would then love to get to bed early and wake up late. I would love to have 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep, that sounds so refreshing and delightful.
6) One day I would love to take my boys on a cross country road trip, I will do this one day! Have a whole agenda planned and stop at all the major landmarks, relish in the history not just the bubble we live in. To actually see natures beauty and touch it not just flip the pages of a book. That would be so amazing.
Not sure what your day looks like tomorrow. Since we have to do a raincheck I have time to revamp some things and get more ideas. Here are some of the blogs that I enjoyed reading to get my heart pumped up for Valentines day.
