Nothing short of pure awesomeness, a super hero who doesn’t wear a cape or have a sidekick!

Gosh I missed this place! I have neglected my blog for the greater good, I swear. I have had  plenty of time to update my fb status and my personal fan page hopscotch and jellybeans  no time to write and stay in touch. I am such a bad bad mommy blogger. I have to admit I am overwhelmed at the moment, I decided to take 17 units at the beginning of the semester and after a near nervous breakdown and two weeks with absolutely NO “real” sleep I reluctantly went to 12 units. I need one more class until I can apply to the RN program. Knowing that I am within reach of my goal, keeps me motivated with the sleepless nights and slight nervous breakdowns at bay.  People have asked me why I am going back to school to pursue nursing. My reply, factored with the day I am having and the person asking.

1) Obviously because my dream job is to make the perfect cupcake and write all day, since nothing matches my search criteria on careerbuilder and monster I am forced against my will to find a new passion.
2) The reason I want to do nursing…. I am antisocial, not compassionate, just in it for the paycheck, said…. No one ever going into this field.
3) Is it just me or isn’t it self explanatory when someone says they want to be a nurse? Its because they are nothing short of pure awesomeness, a super hero who doesn’t wear a cape or have a sidekick.  Just your average awesome “JILL/JOE”.
4) I wanted to go into nursing since I was six years old and put a band-aide on my friends elbow after a bad hopscotch incident. It progressed from scraped elbows, knees to a broken arm. Seriously that was a competitive game, or at least how we girls use to play. Making up the rules as we went along and adding obstacles to jump over.
With that said;  Are you doing what you love, if not do you believe there is such a thing as a “dream job”? Or do you think we just settle and compromise? Are you someone who waits for change or makes it happen?
