OC Rescue Mission’s “Summer to Remember” camp for homeless children.

Summer for most children is the epitome of childhood. For an alarming rate its devastating to imagine that we have children who are homeless. Summer doesn’t take a break for them. The OC Rescue Mission’s “Summer to Remember” camp for homeless children. This is a comprehensive summer program is starting very soon, and the OCRM is urgently seeking help from the community to help fund this program, so that the kids living at the Village of Hope can have an opportunity to take part. You can imagine that these young children (ages 5-12) are seriously affected from homelessness – sometimes socially, emotionally, mentally – and they can suffer in school because of it.

Thanks to this program, kids are given extra academic support for 9 whole weeks, and can enjoy their summer – for only $15 per day! Who knew that $15 dollars per day could give memories for a lifetime for a child without.
