Pita Jungle

The boyznberries aka my Monkeys and I had the opportunity to try out Pita Jungle and we loved it. A new fresh way to eat healthy and satisfy our pallet without empty calories. Ok, well for the most part. Upon arriving we loved the walls that were decorated with local artists work displayed.  That really set the tone for the ambiance. I thought it was just a place for grownups however I was surprised to see a restaurant with a lot of families. It was an upscale ambiance with a casual fee. Very family oriented if that makes sense. I loved the kids menus and the healthy choices that they had to choose from. Upon arriving the kids were excited that they got to customize their plates in such a colorful way. They got to choose a fruit, a veggie, grains and carbs along with a protein.

I also indulged in their wood fire salmon. It was delightful accompanied by my tropical ice tea. The whole dining experience was a such a pleasurable one. The pitas with the fresh humus was out of this world.

Located in  Newport Beach on Bison avenue. Its a gem on so many levels. From the owner to the staff its my new favorite go to place with or without the kids. Although if you bring the kids, its cheaper than a babysitter. The kids menu is starting at just $5.99. Cant beat that for fresh and healthy.

They offer so many specials throughout the week. From Happy Hour 3pm-6pm. They had me at Sangria, along with dips, tapas, beer and wine for $2-$3. Also offering Brunch Saturday and Sundays from 2pm-3pm.

Perfect family spot, moms night out, date night or just a “time out” and refresh. The food is amazing and the service is  equally great.
