RX get you stressed?

I am so thankful I have medical insurance especially with having persistent horrible migraines. Although I have medical insurance sometimes I am at a loss as why certain prescriptions are not covered and even the generic brand cost a pretty penny. Monthly I spend roughly over $100 on prescriptions and that is a good month. That might not seem like a lot, to a mom of three its puts a financial burden depending on the dose amount and how active my migraines are.
For one of my medications it costs $50 out of pocket. I was paying this for some time. When I went to CVS the other day to pick it up they told me my total was $26. I blankly stared at them confused. I asked if it was partially covered. They replied no, I then proceeded to ask if they made a mistake. The Pharmacist just happily smiled and said no, they entered their own discount. Apparently if you don’t have insurance or something isn’t covered they will give you their own discount. They said they should have been doing it all along and apologized and gave me the difference from previous transactions that I paid over on. Still puzzled yet pleased and excited. They could only go back one month. I was so pleased with them doing the discount I didn’t expect anything more. I was blown away. My prescriptions have dropped to half now and I have extra money to spend on more important things, like gas!
If you live in California get your prescriptions at CVS this is something to look into. Especially if you don’t have RX coverage or your prescriptions are not covered. Just kindly ask for the CARX discount. They should be doing this however they might forget to ask or check. I’m happy to help out my fellow Californians. This might not be a new thing for you but it was for me. If you already knew you should have told me! :0)
