Why Your Husband Deserves a Massage This Father’s Day

Father’s Day is less than two weeks away. Are you perplexed on what to get that special man in your life? I know it can be hard as men are hard to buy for. For us women, its easy to find those appropriate gifts. We are so much less complex than men think. The simple things we appreciate with the thoughtfulness in all sorts of items from; flowers, chocolates,  jewelry to my favorite….spa vouchers!

Like me I am sure you are struggling with those gift ideas for Father’s Day. I can’t give my partner one more pair of trouser socks, a coffee mug or tommy bahama tie. He has quite the collection over the years. I’m sure your partner has very refined taste to their hobbies and don’t enjoy the esoteric gifts like new stationery or, say, shoes. So what is one thing you can do to truly honor the Father of your children this month? A massage of coarse!

Father’s Day is first and foremost a chance for your children to thank their Dad for everything he does for them.

This is also a chance for YOU to thank him for the way he shows up for you as the father of your children, and as your husband and or partner. Don’t miss the chance to honor your man yourself as well… and after the kids are tucked up in bed . This is the perfect time!

Men love to be massaged. What better way to treat him to one than you, with your own two hands? Massage between couples is a beautiful intimate experience. This is something that you and your husband can do for the years to come. A ritual for birthdays, special occasions as well as a treat for each other for no reason at all. Or whenever you feel like your relationship could use some additional TLC.

I’ve always wanted to know how to give hubby a back rub, there’s something about it that just makes sense for sharing quality time in marriage. I did some googling and found Melt: Massage for Couples. A wonderful online resource that shows you step-by-step how to use your hands properly, so good!

I thought it would be a perfect time, this Father’s Day to introduce my readers to Denis and Emma – a husband and wife team that teach couples how to give amazing back rubs. Denis, an Australian massage therapist has over 15 years’ experience, together they’ve been teaching couples how to give back rubs for over a decade and you can instantly see in their videos that you’re in good hands.

Melt couples Massages, Online, Fathers Day, Special gift

Massage is beautifully simple when you know where to rub and how to do it. Scientifically speaking, it does incredible things for your relationship.

Here are four reasons your man needs a massage this Father’s Day from you.

  1. Giving a Massage is Generous, and Kind.

Marriages  and relationships are built on generosity and kindness between partners. Selflessly gifting him with a massage, using your own hands, checks so many boxes for a couple’s connection.

  • You’re spending quality time together
  • You’re building a physical connection
  • You’re allowing him a chance to relax
  • You’re honoring him with a generous act of service

By speaking to every love language so eloquently it screams: I love you, I appreciate you, I am grateful for you.

  1. Massage is Romantic

Do you need some romance in your life? If you have children, chances are YES!!

Romance is not easy to come by in long-term relationships, sometimes we need to engineer it ourselves.

Massage is the perfect remedy. Candles, dim lighting, soft music, massage oil, essential oils and quiet intimacy. Just add a fruit platter and maybe some wine and you’re romanced to the eyeballs!

The Melt Set Up – the way they instruct on setting up a massage for couples without a table or any special equipment – makes for a seriously close connection between couples. More than you could ever imagine.

  1. Massage Supercharges Trust

Trust is the cornerstone to any good marriage / relationship, and is one of those things you really never can have too much of. Building trust is continuous work, and it’s been proven that one of the most effective ways to achieve it is through massage and gentle touch.

When you’re massaging, you’ll inevitably reach a point where your partner’s body simply surrenders to the experience. If you’re looking for it, you’ll see it happening as quickly as if you’ve flicked a light switch.

That moment they ease into a deep relaxation under your rhythmical massage techniques is the very moment you’ve gained their complete trust.

It’s a powerful experience to share. Becoming Play-Doh in your partner’s hands and likewise, having them give in to you in the same wholehearted way, is beautiful and comforting, and has far-reaching benefits for your entire marriage and in turn your family.

  1. Massage creates effortless intimacy

Intimacy is essentially about being emotionally close to another person, and it is not actually a forgone conclusion in your relationship.

Intimacy needs to be vigilantly and tenaciously cultivated in marriages / relationships.

Intimacy is about vulnerability while still feeling safe. It’s formed in private moments, through sharing experiences.

You can cultivate your intimate connection by spending time alone as a couple, focused only on each other (read: PUT AWAY THE SMARTPHONES!).

This of course could be achieved in any number of ways, though I can tell you massage is a particularly effective route.

When you massage, you are focusing your absolute attention on your partner in privacy, alone together. Intimacy begets intimacy – try it and watch your connection to your partner build to new heights.

HOW TO MAKE FATHER’s DAY SIMPLY AMAZING in 2016!

Prep time: 10 minutes.

At Melt – they have created these beautifully stunning punny printables – think of it as a treasure hunt for him!

Melt didn’t want to take the focus away from the kids on Father’s Day, so instead they created these cryptic clues that he can find throughout the day to help build some mystery and fun. And of course they lead to an adorably sweet and fun back rub.

Melt-3

Imagine this, stuck on the bathroom mirror, under his coffee cup and above the toilet are the cryptic clues – as the day unfolds he begins to ask, “what are you up to…?” you smile and say “figure it out.”

The more he asks, the more excitement builds. The mystery is what you’re looking to create. If he’s asking questions, you’ve already won Father’s Day. If the kids are asking questions, even better!! Don’t let up – keep it quiet.

At the end of the treasure hunt, he discovers a bottle of massage oil – if you don’t have any at home already, it’s super cheap to buy. Melt will show you where in a moment.

Once the kids are off to bed, you can give him a little 5 minute back rub using the instructional videos. If everyone is too tired, or the kids are not asleep yet, a kiss and a cuddle and a cute IOU voucher with a whisper of “I cannot wait to get my hands on you later this week” is the perfect way to end a fabulous Father’s Day. IOU vouchers are included when you purchase Melt.
