Here comes the bride…before she walks down the aisle

This past Saturday I hosted my friends bridal shower along with her Stepmother. We decided to have it small and intimate.
The stunning bride to be with the handsome groom to be. He dropped her off at the shower and was on his way.

We had the Bridal  shower at The Mission Inn Hotel and Spa in Riverside. The ambiance was spectacular.

We had our luncheon outside, the tables were adorned with flowers. Designed by the Brides to be, Kimie’s stepmom. With her idea she then had the florist create the masterpiece.

We feasted on the lunch buffet which was truly foodgasmic!

What to choose what to choose
This was the winner, a crispy bread with rosemary. DELICIOUS!

Plate 1: amuse bouche ( or my interpretation of what it should be ) Salad, pasta salad, tortellini, rosted veggies, shrimp cocktail, a piece of meat (I was all too ravenous to check the name), with cheesy mashed potatoes I placed on top.
Plate 2: Roasted brussels sprouts, red snapper, roasted veggies, more shrimp cocktail, and fruit

more fruit, the bride to be and I shared

I had a cream-puff or two,  I can’t recall. Actually I plead the 5th. The rest of these desserts were off to my boys.

Each guest had a Casey’s cupcakes box at their place setting so they could take a cupcake of their choice home.  In addition to a cupcake I made white chocolate dipped pretzels and tied candy wedding rings to them.
Before we took tons of pictures it was game time!

We had an assortment of prizes the picture below is just the prizes that were given out for the bridal bingo we played. I went online and custom made it with things that meant something to Kimie, the bride to be.

We played six games, a custom crossword and word-search I created for free on line. A memory game with candy as the prizes, I got the idea from Calico and Cupcakes. I added the word Friends and for the candy they got “mounds” We also played What’s in your purse (The mommy of 4 won despite cleaning her purse out before the shower) We mommies almost always win this game with all the randoms we can find.

I have to say I kept using the bathroom because it was just so luxurious. I really enjoyed their scented hand lotion!

Present time, Present time! As the saying goes, “You need sugar, spice and everything NICE!” Kimie got an array of presents from Burke Williams, Victoria’s secret,  Waterford crystal, $$$$ and a beautiful frame we all signed at the shower as a keepsake.
