Cutting out the chaos

One of my least favorite things to do with the boys is get their haircuts at the salon. Keeping them all entertained during, before, or while they get a haircut is madness pure madness I tell you. When one is getting a haircut the others are just sitting, staring, figiting, fighting with the other, and/or getting restless. I go insane, there are only so many snacks I can pack, there are only so many levels of angry birds you can play, there are only 2 minute segments of Yo Gabba Gabba on Youtube. I can only smell my babies feet so many times and pretend to faint, before it gets old. It takes about an hour to get all the  haircuts done, with the constant interruptions such as the batteries dying in their game system or I didn’t get the right game and to check in my purse to see if I brought another game or if can find the one they wanted. The baby needing a diaper change because the baby did a “Smelly” (which never fails when I am needed to explain something to someone). The middle child having issues with hair on his back and wants it washed off now! Getting up from the chair to get the itch that is on his foot from the falling hair that touched it five minutes before and he just now notices. Literally crying to go home and take a bath because the hair bothers him. Or my favorite potty breaks. I am ready to run away far away, before, during, or finally when all haircuts are done. By this time I am exhausted.

Wouldn’t it be nice if we could just get a mobile salon service to come to the house to cut our kids hair? That would just put a cherry on top of my cupcake! Well get out the frosting and get ready to top this cupcake. I can have my cupcake and eat it too!

Knock Knock, guess who it is? It’s Stacy, my new BFF! A mobile salon service cratering to parents by coming to your house to cut your kids hair, quick get me another cupcake this is too good to be true. Stacy has been licensed to cut hair since 1982. She worked at “A Star is Born” in Mission Viejo for 8 years specializing in kids haircuts. Stacy comes with great references.

To think my boys will never figit, fight with one another, and/or get restless is an understatement but at least they can do it the comfort of their own home. I can do a load of laundry, cook dinner, check facebook, blog, watch TV, play legos with the boys, help the kids with homework, clean something, fold something, do a project on pinterest that I pinned on one of my many boards, eat a cupcake, or just do a cartwheel if I wanted, all this while all my kids are getting their haircut, in the comfort of MY OWN HOME.

I know what some of you are thinking and no, I didn’t win the lottery to be able to have this luxury of someone coming to my home to cut my kids hair. I couldn’t believe how reasonable Stacy’s prices were for being a Mobile Salon Service specializing in Kid’s cuts.

“One of the MANY great things about having a haircut at home is being able to watch more than two minutes of Yo Gabba Gabba uninterrupted and being able to take a bath seconds AFTER my haircut!”
